Held on the third Thursday of every month
This Month’s Topic
Join Jeremy Galbreath, Business Consultant for the Albany Business Centre, for a presentation on the current fuel crisis and tough economic climate.
Rising fuel prices, increasing operating costs and ongoing cost of living pressures are placing significant strain on many small businesses. Whether you rely on transport, service delivery, tourism, retail or agriculture, the flow-on effects are being felt across almost every industry.
This 10-15 minute presentation will explore what recent Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data is telling us about the challenges facing small businesses and, more importantly, some practical steps business owners can take to respond.
Topics covered include:
What recently released ABS data tells us
The impact of fuel costs and broader economic pressures
Practical ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Strategies to protect profitability and cash flow during challenging times
Economic conditions may be beyond our control, but how we respond to them is not.
Please RSVP so we can make you a free bacon and egg sandwich. Help yourself to tea and coffee facilities.

Held on the third Thursday of each month, this casual event invites small business operators and sole traders to join us for a bacon and egg roll from 7:30am to 8:30am. A 10-15 minute presentation is delivered on the month’s topic. It’s a chance for people to connect and learn about events, business programs and services in a way that respects busy schedules.
This monthly program is aimed at breaking down the barriers between business owners and information about region-specific resources and initiatives that can support their business planning/management and work-life balance.
