Grants - Tapping into Arts Funding Opportunities

Everything you need to know about arts grants, including:

  • Finding sources of grant funding

  • How do funding bodies work and what are they looking for?

  • The importance of understanding and addressing grant criteria

  • Essential tips and tools for grant writing

  • The importance of taking an ‘evidenced based’ approach

  • Getting clear on what ‘needs’ your project will address

  • Documenting project details/costs/risks

  • Having the right people with the right skills on your project team - who are your project partners and what are their contributions?

  • The importance of demonstrating support from others.

  • Essential tips for managing and acquitting grants

All participants will receive a workbook covering key components of the presentation materials.

Schedule includes a half-hour break for a catered light lunch.

Christine has worked as an independent consultant in the Great Southern region of WA since July 2017, after a 30-year career in Local and State Government. She specialises in facilitation of Strategic Plans and Business Plans for community organisations, small business and Local Government, preparation of grant applications, preparation of personal development plans, employee mentoring, workshop facilitation, project management and research projects.


The Business Side of Arts is facilitated by City of Albany and supported by DLGSC's Leveraged Creative and Cultural Planning Grants Program.
